PURPOSE:

Heartcode ACLS Online training is the most high tech, official American Heart Association (AHA) Self-Directed Comprehensive eLearning Program. It allows students to take the ACLS course on a computer, instead of attending a traditional, classroom setting. By using simulation technology and scenario-based learning, studies have shown this to be very effective. However, it MUST be completed with a hands-on skills session.

COURSE CONTENT:

  • Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
  • Airway management
  • Related pharmacology
  • Management of ACS and stroke
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team
